Turkish Airlines, the airline operator with the largest network of destinations, continues its expansion. The 2015 year-end brought two new destinations from Africa. On 15 December 2015, Turkish Airlines began operating the flights on the route Istanbul-Port Louis (Mauritius) -Antananarivo (Madagascar).
Currently, 3 flights are operated weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, following the following schedule:
TK160: IST 01:10 - 12:55 MRU 14:10 - 15:00 TNR
TK161: TNR 16:30 - 19:20 MRU 20:35 - 04:15 + 1 IST
Starting with 8 February 2016, the number of weekly flights will increase to 4 by adding Monday's schedule. Flights are honored with aircraft of the type Airbus A330-300. The flight duration from Istanbul to Port Louis is 9:45 hours and Istanbul - Antananarivo is 12:45 hours.
For Antananarivo, Madagascar, rates start at 557 EURO for flights departing from Bucharest, a very good price for an exotic destination.
