Italy has adopted new restrictive measures internally during the winter holidays

By the legislative decree no. 172 of 18 December 2020, the Italian government introduced further restrictive measures to combat the Covid pandemic19, for the period 21 December 2020 - 6 January 2021. Travel between regions between 21 December and 6 January is prohibited.

On 24, 25, 26, 27, 31 December, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 January, the measures valid for red zones shall apply throughout the national territory.

Travel is allowed only for work, health or emergency reasons. Only grocery stores, pharmacies, newsagents, tobacconists, hairdressers and hairdressers are open. Individual motor activity is allowed near the home. Bars and restaurants are closed, but take-away is allowed until 22.00 and home delivery, without time limits.

It is allowed to visit relatives or friends between 05.00 - 22.00, once a day - maximum two people (except for minors under 14, people with disabilities and people in the same home who are not self-sufficient) - within the same regions.

On 28, 29, 30 December and 4 January, the measures valid for orange areas shall apply throughout the national territory.

It is allowed to travel within the same locality, between 05.00-22.00 and outside the localities with less than 5.000 inhabitants, within a radius of 30 km, without being able to go to the provincial residence localities. The shops can remain open until 21.00. Bars and restaurants are closed, but take-away is allowed until 22.00 and home delivery, without time limits.
