ITA - Italia Trasporto Aereo (the new Alitalia) presents the business plan for the period 2021-2025.

Board of Directors of ITA - Italia Trasporti Aereo SpA (new Alitalia) approved the business plan for the period 2021 - 2025. It is still subject to the approval of the Italian authorities and the European Commission.

The main objectives of the new national airline in Italy will be:

Creating an efficient, innovative and competitive air carrier, able to offer the country quality connectivity with the strategic sectors of leisure and premium activities, offering the best customer service.
Development of an alliance network designed to expand the number of destinations served by the ITA, optimizing its investments in the fleet of aircraft and management systems.
Anchoring the start-up network, fleet and operating structures in the current context and their gradual and prudent development. Preparing for the resumption of post-pandemic traffic, efficient use of capital in accordance with the market.

Operational strategy presented by ITA - Italia Trasporto Aereo

ITA - Italia Trasporto Aereo will have the main hub at Rome Fiumicino Airport, and the secondary hub at Milan Linate Airport. There will be a holding company that will manage the operations with 2 subsidiaries, both financially independent, but 100% controlled by ITA.

Investments will also be made in digital systems and platforms to guarantee a unique passenger experience.

ITA aims to become the first choice for those who want to travel to international destinations in and to Rome Fiumicino. At the same time, to be the main airline for business and leisure traffic at Milan Linate Airport.

For starters, Noua Alitalia aims to serve 61 destinations, using 52 aircraft and having between 5.200 and 5.500 employees.

Air freight will be developed by using the cargo capacity of passenger aircraft. There is also a plan to set up a CARGO division at Milan Malpensa Airport.

Domestic and international flights from Rome Fiumicino Airport

For the next 5 years, the airline plans to expand Rome's domestic and international network, so:

2021: London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris CDG, Munich, Zurich, Geneva, Barcelona, Madrid, Algiers, Tunis, Athens, Tirana, Cairo, Tel Aviv;
2022: Valencia, Malaga, Frankfurt, Marseille, Belgrade, Malta, Sofia;
2023: Moscow, Beirut, Amman;
2024: Kuwait City, Jeddah, Riyadh.

Domestic flights from Rome will be to: Turin, Bologna, Trieste, Verona, Venice, Florence, Bari, Brindisi, Naples, Lamezia, Reggio Calabria, Catania, Comiso, Palermo, Alghero, Cagliari, Olbia ..

Domestic and international flights from Milan Linate Airport

For the next 5 years, the airline plans to expand the domestic and international network of Milan Linate, so:

2021: London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris CDG and ORY, Frankfurt;
2022: London, Geneva, Madrid, Barcelona, Luxembourg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart;
2023: Manchester and Hamburg

Domestic racing from Milan Linate, will be to: Rome, Naples, Alghero, Olbia, Cagliari, Palermo, Catania, Comiso, Reggio Calabria, Lamezia Terme, Bari, Brindisi and Pescara.

By 2025, the ITA will serve 93 routes. The ITA fleet will be established later.

Discussions are currently underway with the former Alitalia SAI for the acquisition of some of its commercial assets, such as the Alitalia AZ code, the IATA 055 ticket plate, the Alitalia brand, the slots at London Heathrow Airport and the Millemiglia Program, which is the frequent travel program. .
