South African Airways (SAA) has acquired the first two Airbus A320 aircraft (video)

On July 23, South African Airways (SAA) received the first two Airbus A320 aircraft, these being part of an 20 order of aircraft placed in 2010. The aircraft are powered by two IAE-V2500 engines and can carry up to 138 of passengers, in a configuration with two classes: 24 for business and 114 for economy.

The new aircraft will help South African Airways (SAA) expand its sub-Saharan regional network and streamline its costs. A320 aircraft have a very good operational / passenger cost ratio.
