Last Sunday, on 22 April 2012, Japan Airlines began flights between Tokyo-Narita and Boston with the aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The race meant a double premiere: the first flight of an 787 Dreamliner operated by Jal and the first flight to Boston of the Japanese airline. On this occasion, the occupancy rate of the aircraft (186 seats) was 98%, the tickets being booked many months in advance.
JAL hopes that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be up to the announced performance and thus the flights operated with this aircraft will become more profitable and efficient.
