"We are pleased to offer Ukrainians new and affordable flights between Kiev and Moscow. The opening of the Kiev-Moscow route is an important, long-awaited moment for Wizz Air Ukraine. We expect to increase demand through very low rates. Our commitment to Ukraine has allowed millions of people to travel over the past six years. They could not have traveled otherwise, due to the limitations given by the high rates of other companies. In a time full of challenges for all Ukrainian airlines, we are turning to the authorities and waiting for the creation of a platform that will allow the development and fair competition. The Open Skies Aviation Agreement is a proven solution to attract more air carriers and to offer buyers low prices and more alternatives. It would be a step forward for Europe, by democratizing air travel, which would be available to all Ukrainians and not just a few, privileged. Developing competition is essential to avoid shrinking the Ukrainian air market and to increase the number of new jobs and tourism that are needed locally, "said Akos Bus, General Manager of Wizz Air Ukraine.
