KLM 2019 report: 35,1 million passengers carried

In 2019, KLM has set a new personal record for transported passengers. It achieved the performance of 35.1 million passengers on board its aircraft. That means a 2.7% increase compared to 2018. And the aircraft loading rate was 89.4%, up 0.3% compared to 2018.

According to the KLM report, passenger air traffic increased on flights from Europe, North America, Central America, South America and Asia.

New destinations KLM, added in 2019

In 2019, the KLM network was enriched with 6 new destinations: Bangalore, Naples, Boston, Las Vegas, Guanacaste and Wrocław. Thus, KLM arrived to fly to 171 destinations from Schiphol - Amsterdam International Airport.

The KLM fleet currently has 172 aircraft, including: 17 x Boeing 787, 29 x Boeing 777, 12 x Boeing 747, 13 x Airbus A330, 52 x Boeing 737 and 49 Embraer aircraft.

KLM evolves well and remains among the top airlines in Europe. It has a sustainable fleet rejuvenation program. In 2019, the KLM fleet received 8 modern aircraft (787 and 737), while 3 aircraft 747 and 2 737-700 were eliminated.

And because 2020 is just beginning, KLM also has a promotional offer with great prices to New York from 395 €, Chicago from 380 €, Tokyo from 420 €, Delhi from 365 €, Toronto from 385 € and more.

We remind you that in 2019 the Dutch air carrier KLM is 100 years old, being one of them the oldest airlines in the world.
