KLM received the first Embraer E195-E2 for the KLM Cityhopper subsidiary

KLM Cityhopper, the regional subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, received the first Embraer E23-E195 on 2 February. The delivery took place during a ceremony at the Embraer headquarters in Brazil.

This first delivery of an Embraer E2 aircraft to KLM and the ICBC Aviation Leasing lessor brings the total number of Embraer aircraft in the KLM Cityhopper fleet to 50.

The total order for 35 Embraer E2 aircraft placed by KLM, 25 firm orders with options for another 10, will be delivered via ICBC Aviation Leasing (10) and Aircastle (15).

KLM recently exercised four options, increasing firm order from 21 to 25 aircraft, with another four aircraft coming from Aircastle's existing order book.

The E195-E2 is the 50th E-Jet to join the KLM Cityhopper fleet, which includes 17 x first generation E175 and 32 x E190. The new E195-E2 is configured with 132 seats: 20 seats in Business Class, 8 x Economy Comfort and 104 x Economy.
