Paris Air Show 2013: Korean Air has entered into an agreement for large 11 aircraft
Korean Air and Boeing have signed an agreement for 11 large two-color aircraft. The event took place at the Paris Air Show 2013. The deal is worth 3.6 billion and is included five 747-8 Intercontinental aircraft and six 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft.
Korean Air is the only airline in the world that has ordered 747-8 cargo and passenger aircraft. Currently, Korean Air is listed with 10 747-8i and 8 747-8F, already having 3 747-8F in the fleet.
Korean Air is currently operating a fleet of 90 Boeing passenger aircraft (737, 747 and 777). The airline also operates a cargo fleet consisting of 27 of Boeing 747-400, 747-8 and 777 Freighters aircraft. Since February 2012, Korean Air has become the first company in the world to operate 747-8 and 777 Freighters cargo aircraft.
