Korean Air will fly with Boeing 747-8i to London

Korean Air will introduce you first Boeing 747-8i on the route Seoul - London. The delivery date of the first 747-8i from the South Korean carrier fleet has not been announced yet, but the plan is for the aircraft to begin commercial flights on August 2. Korean Air placed an order for the 2015 Boeing 10-747i.

Starting with August 2 2015, Korean Air will replace the usual Boeing 777-300ER cu Boeing 747-8i, for starters in a rotation 3 times a week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday), on the route Seoul - London. Starting September 1, 2015, the Boeing 747-8i will operate daily flights between Incheon International Airport, Seoul and Heathrow International Airport, London. On this route, Korean Air is in direct competition with Asiana Airlines and British Airways.

The flights will be operated according to the following program:

DO NOT ICN 907: 13 - 00: 17 LHR 25H daily
DON'T LHR 908: NOW - NOW: NOW + NOW ICN 19H daily

The aircraft Boeing 747-8i will be configured in 3 classes and will have a total capacity of 368 seats: 6 seats in First Class, 48 seats in Business Class and 314 seats in Economy Class. Thus, Korean Air will increase the transport capacity by up to 77 of seats / segment between Seoul and London.

Korean Air will become the 3 carrier with Boeing 747-8i in the fleet, after Lufthansa with 16 aircraft in the operational service of 19 commanded and Air China with 4 aircraft in the fleet of 7 commanded. Also on the waiting list are Arik Air with 2 B747-8i ordered and Transaero Airlines with 4 aircraft 747-8i ordered.
