List of European countries, without restrictions for Romania
If you want to plan a holiday in Europe, consider the countries listed below. To many of them there are direct flights from Romania. For others you can also choose the land route.
Currently, there are several countries where we can travel without restrictions on the way to or from: ✔️Albania; ✔️Bulgaria (Travel conditions in Bulgaria) ✔️Croatia; ✔️Franta; ✔️Portugal (except the islands of Madeira and the Azores); ✔️Spania (except for the regions: Aragon, Catalonia, Navarra, Comunidad de Madrid, Balearic Islands, Basque Country, Cantabria, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla y León, La Rioja); ✔️Sweden; ✔️Turkey.
However, it is not excluded that these states will change the status for Romania and travel restrictions will appear depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic. But today, they are the only ones that still allow unrestricted travel, even for tourism. I do not ask you for negative COVID-19 tests and you do not enter isolation.
Update August 17, 2020: 6 regions of Spain (Aragon, Catalonia, Navarra, Comunidad de Madrid, Balearic Islands, Basque Country) entered the yellow list of Romania. All those who will travel from these regions from Spain to Romania will enter isolation at home. But according to CNSU Decisions 42, the flights between Romania and Spain will not be suspended.
Update August 17, 2020: Malta has entered Romania's yellow list and implicitly direct flights will be suspended. All those who will travel from Malta to Romania will enter isolation at home.
Update August 15, 2020: Serbia requests a negative COVID-19 test for all those traveling from Romania.
Update August 7, 2020: Romania enters the risk list of Germany with 7 counties. For all those traveling from Argeş, Bihor, Buzău, Neamț, Ialomița, Mehedinți and Timiş, a negative COVID-19 test is required or self-isolation is required.
Update August 5, 2020: Switzerland leaves the list of countries without restrictions for Romania. Switzerland imposes quarantine at home for 10 days, starting August 8.
We will continue to monitor the reactions of EUROPE countries to the COVID-19 pandemic and will come back with updates when there is news.
