During this day, 26 May 2014, Asiana Airlines will be in possession of the first Airbus A380 in the fleet. The delivery ceremony will take place in Toulouse, and Asiana Airlines will become the 11 operator of A380.

To begin with, the aircraft will be used on short flights to accommodate the crew, to destinations such as Tokyo-Narita, Osaka, Hong Kong or Bangkok. As of August 15, A380 Asiana Airlines will enter long-haul flights, the first destination being Los Angeles.

Asiana Airlines ordered 6 aircraft A380: 2 will be delivered this year (one today, the second in July), 2 will be delivered in 2015, and the other 2 in 2017.
