Aeromexico officials, Mexico's largest airline, have announced transatlantic flights linking Mexico City with London. This route will become operational from 15 December to 2012. The Mexican carrier will make three weekly flights between Mexico City International Airport and London Heathrow.
With this route, the airline expects to increase domestic flights and connections with the rest of the world. From a tourism point of view, Europeans can travel much more efficiently to Mexico City and to about 45 of major cities in Mexico and South America.
Aeromexico currently operates 386 flights - 220 international and 168 domestic - to the United States, South America, Europe and Asia. Aeromexico will invest over $ 2.5 billion over the next 4 years to revive the fleet with about 30 new aircraft.
