The new policy regarding the use of personal gadgets in the plane was adopted by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) from November 2013, but each airline will decide on the date and method of implementation.
Starting with 17 February 2014, LOT Polish Airlines allows passengers to use the gadgets on board its aircraft, but only set to "airplane mode". Electronic devices will no longer need to be switched off during take-off and landing, and you can even enjoy them throughout the flight. You can use smartphones, tablets, MP3, camcorders, etc., but you cannot make phone calls without SMS.
