LOT Polish Airlines, Poland's national airline, held a press conference at Henri Coanda International Airport and announced new changes to the Warsaw-Bucharest route.

As I announced from December 11 2013, LOT Polish Airlines will increase the frequency at 20 of weekly flights, from 30 to March 2014. Will introduce 3 daily flight after the following program:

LO645 - Warsaw 14:30 - 17:30 Bucharest
LO646 - Bucharest 18:15 - 19:00 Warsaw

With the introduction of this flight, LOT Polish Airlines targets 100 000 of passengers on the route Warsaw - Bucharest, for 2014. In 2013, the Polish airline carried 76.237 passengers, 12% more than in 2012, and the loading rate of aircraft was 78%. Flights on the route Warsaw - Bucharest will be operated by aircraft Embraer 170 / 175 / 195 with capacities between 70 and 112 seats. In connection with the winter season 2014 / 2015, LOT Polish Airlines will operate 15 flights on the route Warsaw - Bucharest. The winter program will take effect on October 26, 2014. The information appeared in GDS.

According to statements made by Mr. Jakub Malecki, LOT general manager for Romania and Moldova, LOT Polish Airlines does not want to open new routes from other Polish cities to Bucharest, but it is planned to open routes to other destinations in Romania, but not earlier than 2 years ago.
