LOT Polish Airlines would be interested in Brasov Airport
Mr. Adrian Ioan Veştea, President of the Brașov County Council, had a meeting with Mr. Janusz Wiesław Szaliński, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Brașov.
The discussion between the two focused on the collaboration between Brașov County and Poland, especially regarding the most important investment objective, Ghimbav International Airport.
The consul reaffirmed the interest that LOT Polish Airlines, the main Polish airline, shows both in terms of opening air routes to Brasov, but also for the concession and operation of the airport in Brasov.
We remind you that Brasov Airport is the first built after the revolution and could be the 17th in Romania. Construction work for the passenger terminal began on March 17, 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2021. In addition to LOT, there are other airlines interested in opening routes to Brasov, such as Turkish Airlines, Wizz Air and Lufthansa.
