Lufthansa CityLine waives BAe RJ85
Lufthansa CityLine, a regional airline based in Cologne, Germany, has announced that it will discontinue aircraft services BAe (Avro) RJ85. This will happen from August 27!
On this date, the aircraft will make a historic flight between Munich and Cologne. Lufthansa CityLine uses this type of aircraft since 1994.
I didn't fly with this type of aircraft, but I like the way it looks. It has a capacity between 82 of seats and 112, depending on the configuration. It is powered by 4 Textron Lycoming ALF 502R engines. Production of these aircraft was stopped in 2001.
I flew with this type of plane, and it was very good, however there is no comparison term with ATR!
