Lufthansa Group offers 440 additional flights for Christmas and New Year
Lufthansa Group airlines (Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings) offer approximately 80.000 additional seats on 440 additional flights for the holiday season and New Year.
Airlines are now responding to increased bookings on scheduled flights over the Christmas holidays. At the same time, due to requests from passengers, Lufthansa Group airlines will resume flights to several new destinations and increase the frequencies of existing connections or by implementing larger aircraft.
From its hubs in Munich and Frankfurt alone, Lufthansa offers over 120 additional flights with a capacity of 25.000 extra seats during Christmas. The most requested destinations are from the USA, Portugal, Spain and the Canary Islands.
To the USA, New York and Florida are the destinations with the most reservations made during the winter holidays. In Europe, destinations on the Spanish mainland and the Canary Islands, Portugal and other sunny destinations in the Mediterranean region, as well as Scandinavia are in high demand.
In addition to these destinations, the snowy resorts in Lapland (northern Finland) are back in the flight schedule. Thus, it is possible to fly from Frankfurt to Ivalo and Kuusamo, as well as from Munich to Kittilä in Lapland and Tromsö in Norway - Northern Light inclusive.
