Lufthansa Group passengers can now enjoy a whole new flying experience on short and medium-haul routes. Thanks to an innovative new cabin, the airline significantly improves travel comfort. Tomorrow, the first Airbus 321neo with a modern Airspace cabin will take off from Frankfurt to Fuerteventura.

The new cabin has a lot to offer: the new storage space in the aircraft is 40% larger and can incorporate up to 60% more suitcases, as they can be stored vertically.

In addition to Lufthansa, the new cabin will also be used by Swiss, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings in the new Airbus 320 aircraft.

The cabin design and entrance area have been extensively redesigned and now look brighter and friendlier. The so-called Human Centric Lighting, a specially programmed, flexible lighting system, illuminates the cabin in warm red light, intermediate tones graded to cooler blue light. Depending on the time of day or night, the light in the cabin of the aircraft is thus adapted to the biorhythms of the passengers.

The comfort of the seats has also been improved: the side walls of the Airspace cabin will - in the future - give passengers more space in the shoulder area. In addition, modern toilets are even easier to use for people with reduced mobility.
