Malaysia Airlines will become a full member of oneworld la February 1 2013. The operator received approval after successfully completing the membership program, largely sponsored by Qantas. In order to avoid certain administrative problems, it was decided that Malaysia Airlines would join in February and then offer alliance services. It is the second A380 aircraft operator after Qantas.

One of the issues is the loyalty program and its alignment with the oneworld alliance and automatically at the member level: airberlin, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN Airlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian, S7 Airlines.
