Following the tragic plane crash in 17 July 2014, when an aircraft Boeing 777 Malaysia Airlines collapsed on the border between Ukraine and Russia, Malaysia Airlines decided to withdraw the code MH17.

From 25 July 2014, the flight code MH17 will become MH19, and the operational program will be as follows:

DON'T EAT EVERYTHING: EVERYTHING - EVERYTHING: EVERYTHING + EVERYTHING AMS EVERYTHING D
NOT AMS 19: NOW - NOW: NOW + NOW EVER NOW D

Malaysia Airlines started using the code MH17, between December 1989 - October 1990, for the flight Amsterdam - Istanbul - Dubai - Kuala Lumpur operated with DC10. Code MH17 was reintroduced into the system, starting with August 1998, also for the route Amsterdam - Kuala Lumpur (3 weekly flights at that time / 1 daily flight at present).

In solidarity with Malaysia Airlines, KLM has decided to withdraw the code code KL4103 from the same flight MH17 and will replace it with KL4123, from 25 to July 2014.
