Malta has lifted travel restrictions for Romania. Wizz Air has resumed flights from Bucharest to Malta.

As of 1 July, Malta has reopened its airport and lifted travel restrictions for an impressive number of countries. Even for Romania, travel restrictions have been lifted, starting with July 15.

With the removal of these rules and restrictions, commercial and frequent passenger flights could also be resumed.

Wizz Air, the only airline with frequent commercial flights between Romania and Malta, resumed its activity on the route Bucharest - Malta. They are currently being operated on 2 flights a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.
