The drivers will compete on the famous Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit. There will be 63 laps of 4.9 kilometers each. The qualifiers will be on April 22nd, the sprint race will be on the 23rd, and the big Formula 24 race of Emilia-Romagna / Italy (Imola) will be on April 1th.
Imola remains on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2025. This decision comes after Imola hosted two Grand Prix, in 2020 and 2021. The two races were considered a real success, which is why the contract extension was not a surprise.
Stefano Domenicali (56 years old), the president and CEO of Formula 1, spoke enthusiastically about the new contract between F1 and the Italian circuit: “I am delighted to continue our partnership with Imola until 2025 for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
