Middle East Airlines has joined SkyTeam airline alliance

Middle East Airlines (MEA), a Lebanese operator headquartered in Beirut, has joined SkyTeam airline alliance. MEA becomes the 17 member of the full and second rights alliance in the Middle East.

From its base in Beirut, the company Middle East Airlines offers flights to 30 from international destinations in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Lebanese will be able to travel much easier now to various destinations in the United States, Canada and Brazil through the hubs of Paris CDG and Rome.

Several member operators SkyTeam operates to the capital of Lebanon - Alitalia, Air France, Aeroflot, Saudi Arabia and TAROM, offering very good connections through hubs in Europe and the Middle East.

China has become an increasingly important trading partner for Middle East. Through Chinese operators China Eastern and China Southern, SkyTeam members, the alliance opens new opportunities to the Greater China region.

The integration of the MEA operator in the alliance is sponsored by the founding member SkyTeam - Air France.
