Owner Li Yang, a wealthy businessman, said it cost about 3,9 million to buy, transport and redecorate the entire Boeing. The aircraft is 28 years old and belonged to the airline Batavia Air, Indonesia. It took 5 months to transport the aircraft to its destination. It was dismantled and loaded into 70 containers for transport to China. It was not easy at all, especially since the operation was unique. Even the customs formalities and necessary documents were a first for China.

Li Yang mentioned that he invested a lot in the kitchen too. Lily Airways can serve fine menus, prepared for all tastes. The average price of a menu will be about 30 pounds. The restaurant has a capacity of 70 seats.

The on-board service is done through the traditional trolley, which is frequently seen on the commercial aircraft dashboards. The cabin crew was also carefully selected, according to the aeronautical standards. It is also worth noting that the access on board is through the boarding gate.

Li Yang's idea was born during a trip to Sweden, where he could see a plane transformed into a hotel. On his return from the journey, he began to look for the right plane for his plan. Today, Lily Airways offers a unique experience for any aviation enthusiast.
