It will be the fastest connection between East Africa and New York, lasting 15 hours east and 14 hours west.
The ultra-long haul flight, unique to the Kenya Airways network, will require 4 pilots and 12 flight attendants, as well as 85 tons of fuel in each direction.
Daily flights will be honored with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which will be able to carry up to 234 passengers.
