New rules for entry into the Czech Republic: presentation of a negative COVID-19 PCR test!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the Czech authorities have revised the conditions for entry into the Czech Republic for citizens of a number of states, including Romania, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, from 27 December 2021, entry into the territory of the Czech Republic will be permitted subject to the following conditions:

The new rules that all travelers must follow

  • People vaccinated with the full schedule but without the booster dose, people who have gone through the disease, and people who have not been vaccinated must test negative for a PCR test for SARS CoV-2 virus infection, taken no later than 72 hours before departure. travelling; 
  • All persons must complete the electronic arrival form before traveling to the Czech Republic (https://plf.uzis.cz/) and provide proof of completion upon entry into Czech territory. 

The following categories of persons are exempted from the obligation to perform PCR testing:

  • citizens vaccinated with the third dose (booster dose);
  • minors aged 12 to 18 vaccinated with the full vaccination schedule (1 or 2 doses, as appropriate);
  • persons residing in Czech territory or Czech nationality;
  • children under 12;
  • international transport personnel, if the reason for entry is justified by an appropriate document;
  • persons in transit for a maximum of 12 hours;
  • accredited members of the diplomatic missions of the Czech Republic, including private officials, holders of service passports issued by the Czech Republic and holders of diplomatic passports traveling to or from the Czech Republic for official purposes, as well as officials of international organizations registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. traveling to or from the Czech Republic if their stay in or outside Czech territory does not exceed 72 hours.
