Norwegian Air Argentina, the new low-cost carrier registered in Argentina, will debut on 16 October 2018. It is part of the Norwegian group and will operate, for the beginning, domestic flights.

It will be based in Buenos Aires and fly to Cordoba and Mendoza. The plane tickets will go on sale starting September 4 2018. Norwegian Air Argentina will operate Boeing 737-800 type aircraft, which has been registered (LV-HQH).

Norwegian Air Argentina, first flights on 16 October

Norwegian Air Argentina was authorized by the Argentine government at the beginning of the 2017 year. The Argentine authorities have approved 153 routes from the 157 requested. 73 of routes will be domestic and 80 of routes will be international, with flights to South America, North America, Oceania and Europe.

Norwegian officials have big plans with the Argentine subsidiary. They will develop 3 bases in Argentina and will allocate 70 aircraft for short, medium and long flights.

Argentina is a market with maximum potential for low-cost carriers. Recently, the Argentine government also approved the launch of the operator FlyBondi. It will be interesting to see how things will evolve in Argentina.
