From January 9 2013, NovoAir started operations in Bangladesh. The new airline will operate flights from Dhaka to 4 domestic destinations: Chittagong, Jessore, Sylhet and Cox Bazar. Will use two regional Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft from 49 seats.
For starters, NovaAir will honor 26 weekly flights to Chittagong and a few daily flights to Jessore and Cox Bazar, and in the near future to Sylhet. The new air carrier plans to open routes to: Kolkata, Kathmandu, Yangon, Bangalore and Chiang Mai.
NovoAir is the first carrier in Bangladesh to operate Embraer aircraft. They were borrowed from FlyBe, a low-cost UK, and come equipped with Rolls-Royce engines.
