FedEx Boeing 767-300SF (N110FE, built 2014) landed with the front landing gear retracted on runway 16R at Istanbul-Intl Airport (LTFM), Turkey.

The plane operated flight FX6238, on the route Paris - Istanbul. Pilots have reported problems with the front landing gear not being able to be lowered. They requested permission to land on the fuselage, not before passing low over the runway for a visual inspection.

The necessary precautions were then taken to land at the airport, and response teams were put on alert and sent to the vicinity of the runway. The aircraft was brought to the ground without further incident and the cabin crew exited the aircraft without injury.

The aircraft landed on runway 16R with the landing gear closed and remained on the runway, resulting in the runway being closed for the duration of the evacuation.
