The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that, on 31 August 2020, the Polish authorities have announced new measures on the conditions of entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thus, Romania has been included in the list of states with high epidemiological risk, flights to / from Romania being temporarily suspended, starting with September 2, 2020. We are talking here about direct flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines, which appear to be suspended until October 1, 2020.

The air suspension measure applies to all over 40 states included in the list of countries with high epidemiological risk and is valid until 15 September 2020, and will be re-evaluated according to epidemiological developments.

According to the information publicly communicated by the Polish authorities, air flights organized at the request / with the agreement of the Polish Government, humanitarian, medical and search and rescue flights, Polish and foreign military flights, as well as charter flights planned before the entry into force will be exempted. of the decision on the introduction of the new measures.

At the same time, the MFA states that persons traveling to the Republic of Poland from an EU Member State, as well as from the Kingdom of Norway, the Swiss Confederation, the Republic of Iceland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, may continue to enter this state without restrictions or special measures such as mandatory quarantine / self-isolation. .

Only random checks on travel documents are carried out at Schengen land border points (with the Federal Republic of Germany, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Lithuania).
