Oman Air, the official carrier of Oman, placed an order for three Airbus A330-300 aircraft. It wants to increase its fleet from A330 to 10 aircraft and operate more long-haul flights. This type of aircraft can carry up to 300 passengers. Oman Air plans to expand its operational network with new destinations further from Europe and Asia.
The A330 family of aircraft can carry between 250 and 300 passengers. Besides the airplanes dedicated to the civil commercial transport, there are also those of cargo type, VIP and military tanks.
Currently, over 100 of airline operators have around 900 of A330 aircraft. The Airbus A330-300 promises a very good cost / operating ratio to its class.
