On 16 October 2016, Lufthansa will operate a commercial flight with Airbus A380 in Sofia. The largest passenger aircraft will land for the first time at the airport in the Bulgarian capital. It will work Frankfurt - Sofia flight, the landing in Bulgaria being scheduled for noon.
