Paris Air Show 2013: Oman Air has ordered five Boeing 737-900ER Next Generation aircraft

Two days ago, Oman Air and Boeing signed an agreement for five Boeing 737-900ER Next Generation aircraft. The order was placed at the Paris Air Show 2013 and is valued at 473 millions of dollars. With this order, Oman Air becomes the first customer in the Arab Gulf region to order 737-900ER.

Currently, the carrier in Oman has 15 fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 and two 737-700 aircraft, and six 737-800s and the five 737-900ER have recently been commissioned. In addition, Oman Air also ordered six Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

Oman Air is in the process of developing, modernizing and expanding. The new aircraft will be used on medium routes, the 737-900ER having an autonomy of up to 10 000 of Km and being able to carry up to 180 of passengers in configuration with 2 classes.
