On 25 March 2018, the route will be inaugurated Perth - London with Qantas. It will be the first direct route between Europe and Australia.

But first of all, let's go back a little in history. In 1947, Qantas operated the first flights from Australia to London. At that time, a flight lasted 4 days and included 9 stops. From March 25, a flight will take just over 17 hours.

On 24 March 2018, the QF9 flight will take off from Perth (18: 45) and land in London (05: 05 + 1), after 17 hours and 20 minutes. QF10, the return flight, will take off on 25 March from London (13: 15) and land at Perth (13: 00 + 1), after 16 hours and 45 minutes.

The distance from Perth to London is 14 498 km, making it the longest 2 flight in the world. The flights will be honored with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

The London - Perth flight will be the longest on the Qantas network, followed by Sydney-Dallas (13 730km and flying with Airbus A380). It will be the longest flight operated by a Boeing Dreamliner in the world.

From 25 to March 2018, new economic boundaries will open and new travel opportunities will be opened between Europe (via London) and Australia (via Perth).
