The largest US airlines have canceled hundreds of flights from Newark Liberty International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport and Logan International Airport. Neither O'Hare International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport nor Philadelphia International Airport will escape the blizzard.

United Airlines said it canceled 900 flights, Delta Air Lines canceled 740 flights, and American Airlines approximately 200 flights, information provided by the FlightAware website. Several overseas flights were also canceled by Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Iberia.

If you have flights to the North American continent, it is best to inform yourself in advance. Airlines make every effort to notify passengers of any delays or cancellations and have issued an agreement whereby passengers can change their flight data at no additional charge.
