Over 60 of canceled flights due to fog on London Heathrow

During today's 12.12.2012 Wednesday, over 60 flights were canceled at London Heathrow Airport due to fog. The extremely low visibility forced the airport management to cancel dozens of flights, and those in flight to be redirected to other destinations away from the weather phenomenon.

The London City and Manchester airports in the North West of England also took the same measures. It is good when making such decisions for passenger safety, but airports will suffer because any delay means loss.

Plus that London Heathrow is the busiest European airport and works at full capacity. Development plans have been postponed by the current UK government! That's it! Better a financial loss and no incident!
