Philippine Airlines returns to Tel Aviv after a six-decade hiatus, with the first trip scheduled for April 2022. The market between the Philippines and Israel is vast, and the route will be largely leisure-oriented, with a focus on Filipinos, pilgrims and tourists from outside the country in both directions. The new connection comes at a time when the airline is reorganizing to become more profitable.

Philippine Airlines will resume service to Tel Aviv after a 60-year hiatus. The last flights operated by Philippine Airlines to Tel Aviv were in the 1940s and 1950s. It will start operating twice a week from April 6, with reservations available from the end of October.

The flights will be honored with 350 seats Airbus A900-295 aircraft. They are configured in three comfortable classes: 30 seats in business, 24 seats in premium economy and 241 seats in economy.

This is the newest announced route to Tel Aviv, after the new connections with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco.
