Jet Airways pilots on 9W697 forgot to pressurize the cabin
These days, there was an unusual aviation incident. The pilots of a Boeing 737-800 Jet Airways, on the flight 9W697, forgot to pressurize the cabin. Passengers needed medical care.
In 6 years by AirlinesTravel.ro, I personally did not read and did not encounter such a case. The pilots of a Boeing 737-800 (VT-JGS) Jet Airways, on the flight 9W697, forgot to pressurize the plane. They realized the mistake when the aircraft reached 3000 meters altitude.
The flight was operated on the Mumbai (BOM) - Jaipur (JAI) route, and there were 166 passengers on board. Immediately after take-off and as the aircraft climbed to the cruise line, several passengers began to have headaches and nasal bleeding. The oxygen masks were activated and could be used.
They forgot to pressurize the cabin
Realizing the spectacle, the pilots decided to return to Mumbai. After 40 minutes, they brought the aircraft safely to the ground. 30 people needed medical care. According to NDTV, a passenger was transported to a local hospital.
Following the incident, the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India requested an inquiry from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the competent authority. The pilots were suspended.

Jet Airways is not the first offender. On 1 January 2018, 2 Jet Airways pilots were fired after they both left the cockpit of a Boeing 777. The plane had 324 passengers on the Mumbai - London route.
