First A320neo and A340-600 Lufthansa aircraft in new livery

This month, Lufthansa introduced the first A320neo and A340-600 aircraft in the new livery,

In early August, Lufthansa received the 11 Airbus A320neo from its fleet, but the first in the new livery. It was named "Heidenheim an der Brenz" and is registered D-AINK.

The Airbus A320neo (D-AINK) was delivered from the Airbus base in Hamburg. It was equipped and configured in Berlin-Schönefeld, and then assigned to the Lufthansa base in Frankfurt.

Lufthansa commissioned 122 from A320neo family aircraft, namely 67 x A320neo and 40 x A321neo. The new A320neo can carry up to 180 passengers, in variable configurations. The A321neo aircraft will be able to carry up to 215 passengers.

Also this month, Lufthansa introduced the first A340-600 in the new livery, indicative of D-AIHI. The aircraft landed in Munich on the 13 day of August. The aircraft was painted in Manchester. The aircraft is 14.6 years old. It arrived in the Lufthansa fleet in April 2004. Propulsion is provided by 4 RR Trent 500 engines.

It is configured in 4 tariff classes: 8 First Class seats; 44 seats in Business Class; 32 seats at Premium Economy and 213 seats at Economy. It is assigned to the Munich base and operates long-haul flights to destinations in North America, South America and Asia.
