On 29 August 2016, the first Airbus A320neo LATAM Airlines Group it was delivered. The aircraft is powered by 2 engines Pratt & Whitney Pure Power PW1100-JM. It is configured to carry up to 174 passengers, with 18 inch seats and an equipped cabin Space-Flex.

To begin with, the aircraft Airbus A320neo LATAM Airlines Brazil will operate domestic flights in Brazil, to: Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Campo Grande, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro (Galeão) and São Paulo (Guarulhos). From November, the aircraft will also enter regional flights from South America. The second A320neo aircraft, which will be delivered by the end of this year, will enter regional flights.
Since the launch of the A320neo project, Airbus has received orders from 85 customers for 4600 aircraft. To date, Airbus has delivered 16 A320neo aircraft to 5 customers worldwide on 3 continents.
