These aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines, whose problems have led to delayed deliveries. Qatar Airways refused the first deliveries of A320neo, and the launch customer was Lufthansa, which received the first A320neo on 20 January 2016.

IndiGo owns a fleet of 102 Airbus A320ceo aircraft. By the end of March 2017, IndiGo would receive 24 of new generation aircraft.
