On 26 June 2018, Airbus delivered the first A350-900 Iberia. The carrier from the Iberian Peninsula becomes the 18 in the world with this type of aircraft in the fleet. The aircraft comes with new changes implemented by Airbus, in particular winglet modifications.

The aircraft is configured in a classic look and can carry up to 348 passengers in 3 fare classes. There are 31 seats in Business Class, 24 seats in Premium Economy and 293 seats in Economy Class. The aircraft A350-900, which is registered EC-MXV and baptized "Placido Domingo", flew to Madrid on the 26 June.
