The first Airbus A350 Japan Airlines (Jal) was assembled and painted

The first A350 XWB Japan Airlines (JAL) was assembled and painted at the Airbus base in Toulouse, France. It has a custom livery with the red A350 XWB logo painted on the fuselage.

Before being delivered to Japan Airlines, the aircraft will be tested in flight and on the ground. Delivery is scheduled for June 2019. Initially, the first A350 XWB JAL will be used on domestic routes in Japan.

JAL ordered 31 from A350 XWB aircraft, comprising 18 x A350-900 and 13 x A350-1000. A350-900 JAL aircraft will be configured in 3 classes, with a capacity of 369 passengers.

At the end of March 2019, the A350 XWB family of aircraft had orders for 890 from 50 aircraft from customers around the world.
