After about 5 months after start of the assembly of the first A380 Qatar Airways, the aircraft flew to Hamburg. The aircraft will be fully painted and properly equipped.
Qatar Airways has a firm order for the 10 Airbus A380, and the first will be delivered in March 2014. The planes will be configured with 517 seats, 42 for business class. The aircraft will be powered by engines Engine Alliance GP7200.
Also in 2014, Qatar Airways will be in possession of the first A350 XWB, being the launch customer of the new type of aircraft.
