The first flight in the history of the Airbus A350 XWB is scheduled for 14 June 2013
Here we approach the first flight in history, with the first Airbus A350 XWB, with rapid steps. The European manufacturer of commercial and military aircraft confirmed that the inaugural flight for A350 XWB was scheduled for Friday, June 14 2013.
If the weather is on Airbus, the first A350 XWB (MSN1) family will fly at 10: 00 (local time) from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport. The test team makes the final checks before the big flight. We all think we are curious about the performance of this type of aircraft and we can hardly wait to hear the new Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines at work, to experience the thrill of the first ground clearance of a newly designed aircraft and to see how it will float smoothly towards the height of heaven.
The new Airbus A350 XWB aircraft are dedicated to medium-courier and long-courier flights. They will be able to carry between 270 and 350 passengers, in a configuration of 3 classes. The manufacturer promises a fuel economy of up to 25% compared to other models in its class, as well as a reduction of CO2. The first Airbus A350 XWB aircraft will be delivered in 2014 to Qatar Airways, the launch customer.
