During the holidays, not all of us enjoy holidays and extended meals with our loved ones. There are several categories of people who have to work for Christmas, New Year's Eve or other legal holidays over the year.
During the winter holidays, Metrorex employees will also work to ensure the safe transport of passengers from one corner to another of Bucharest
Thus, on 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 December 2019 and 1, 2 January 2020, trains will run on all subway lines according to the schedules for weekends and public holidays.
The subway program during the winter holidays
On 23, 24, 30, 31 December 2019, as well as on 3, 4 January 2020, trains will run on Highway 1 (Republica- Dristor 2) and Highway 3 (Anghel Saligny - Preciziei) at an interval of 7 minutes. On Highway 2 (Berceni-Pipera) it will run at an interval of 4 minutes, and on Highway 4 (North Railway Station 2- Bazilescu Park), the trains will run at an interval of about 11 minutes.
As every year, Metrorex is available to travelers on the night of December 31, 2019 / January 1, 2020. Subway trains will run between 00:00 - 1:00 at 10 minutes, and from 1:00 until 5:00 at a interval of 20 minutes. Metrorex will introduce additional trains depending on the flow of passengers.
