Blue Air operational program on the routes Bucharest - Cluj and Bucharest - Iași, from July 2, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic led to suspension of Blue Air flights, starting with March 21, 2020. With the establishment of the state of emergency in Romania, Blue Ai decided to stop domestic and international flights.

But here we have hopes that Blue Air flights will resume on July 1. More precisely, the domestic flights from Romania appear in the reservation system starting with July 2. Obviously, as is the case in many parts of the world, Blue Air has adjusted its operational schedule. It reduced the fleet, closed routes and reduced the number of flights.

Blue Air on the routes Bucharest - Cluj and Bucharest - Iași

The domestic flights Bucharest - Cluj and Bucharest - Iasi also suffered. Prior to the new coronavirus pandemic, Blue Air operated 12-14 flights on each route. After 2 July 2020, when domestic flights are expected to resume, there will be 3 weekly flights on Bucharest - Cluj and 4 flights on Bucharest - Iasi. This means a reduction in the number of flights by up to 75% compared to the pre-COVID period.
