TAROM repatriation flights from Barcelona and Madrid, Spain

As you well know, regular - frequent flights from / to Romania are suspended until June 16, inclusive. The airlines canceled all scheduled flights on a frequent basis. But Blue Air and TAROM can operate "On Demand" / repatriation flights.

TAROM presented the operational program for the period May 28, 2020 - June 16, 2020. We mention that the international flights are for repatriation with special status and are subject to the law GD 394/18 May 2020, annex 3, art. 4.

Among the repatriation flights, TAROM will fly from Barcelona to Bucharest on: MAY 31, JUNE 4, JUNE 7, JUNE 11, JUNE 14. And from Madrid there will be flights on: MAY 31, JUNE 4, JUNE 7, JUNE 11, JUNE 14.

Each ticket includes a 10 kg hand luggage and a 23 kg hold baggage (Rome 30 kg).

Passengers who will be accepted on board aircraft must fall into the following categories:

From Europe to Romania will be accepted only Romanian citizens who want repatriation according to art. 4, para. J.

From Romania to other European countries the following conditions are required:

- be nationals of the countries in which they wish to enter or
- to be seasonal workers with employment contract according to art. 4, para. I or
- be workers in the transport sector, as set out in Annex 3, to the Communication on the implementation of green lanes, under the guidelines on border management measures, in order to protect the health and ensure the availability of essential goods and services - C (2020 1897 / 23.03.2020).

Some specifications on special flights

Special flights have a different mode of operation than commercial / frequent flights and are subject to applicable law. With these special flights can travel all those who meet the conditions specified in GD 394 of 18 May 2020.

To check if your flight is special, please look at its number. All TAROM special flights have the number in the following format - RO7xxx. The number 7 followed by 3 digits indicates that the flight is special. You can see the flight number on the ticket, on the booking confirmation and on the boarding pass. All special flights in the system will be operated.
