Romania carries out humanitarian mission to India, a country severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

A C-130 Hercules aircraft of the Romanian Air Force took off today, April 28, to the Republic of India, in a humanitarian assistance mission for the emergency transport of medical equipment for this country, severely affected by the COVID pandemic. 19.

Romania is thus joining European and international efforts to support India, which is facing a dramatic situation amid an unprecedented wave of SARS-CoV2 virus disease.

The emergency aid offered by Romania consists in the free transfer of medical equipment consisting of: 80 concentrators, 75 oxygen cylinders and 20 high-flow oxygen therapy devices.

Humanitarian mission to India

Romanian medical equipment is among the first to arrive in New Delhi, in the coming days scheduled shipments of equipment and medicines from other EU member states, under the European Civil Protection Mechanism, recently activated in the European Union as part of efforts Team Europe.
